Our Team

Our mission is community building through service to the food insecure of Buchanan County, IA. Our primary concern is providing a five-day supply of nutritionally balanced meals with genuine friendliness and regard for the dignity of our clients. To accomplish that goal, we call upon the local community for funding and volunteer staffing. Clients, donors, and volunteers who are diverse in age and backgrounds interact and form relationships. Our concern for each other extends to the earth, as well. Partnering with local retailers, we rescue foods that would otherwise go to the landfill, getting it to people who are in need. Our attitude is, "Each person who walks through our door is valued and shall be treated with respect."
